The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it really is alarmed with regard to the significant variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is due to lack of infrastructure sassa status at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The service position created for intervention encounters a significant influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more here methods to help the servicing of all clients and raise usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
